Rear Admiral Frank Trojahn, Chairman of NORDEFCO’s Military Coordination Committee, made a round-trip visit to Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia in March.

The visits to the defence staffs of the three Baltic countries provided an opportunity to discuss a wide variety of issues including secure communications, exercise synchronisation and professional military education. The defence staffs were also briefed on the status of on-going NORDEFCO projects, thus contributing to closer dialogue and cooperation between the Nordic and Baltic countries. The Chairman and his delegation also had the opportunity to visit NATO´s Energy Security Center of Excellence in Vilnius, where they learned more about the center´s work and organization.
